The Liberty Hockey One League is thrilled to announce a 2024 Finals Series partnership with ALFA Hockey, an industry-leading Indian manufacturer of field hockey sticks and accessories.
After locking in a local hockey supplier in Australia earlier in the year, ALFA Hockey is continuing to enter the Australian market by coming on board as the 2024 Finals Series Player of the Match Presenting Partner.
In India, ALFA Hockey boasts a fair share of the hockey market and has several national team players, women and men, as brand ambassadors.
Hockey One League Executive Manager Sash Herceg said the partnership is another step in the League’s ambition to create stronger ties with India.
“Strategically, this is a very important partnership for the League as ALFA Hockey is our first Indian-based partner. Over the next four years, we have a strategic objective to enter the Indian market and this partnership marks the start of the strategy implementation phase.”
ALFA Hockey joins Project Innovations, a Singapore-based construction consultancy, as its second international sponsor.
ALFA Hockey Managing Director, Chetanya Mahajan, is equally excited about the partnership and hopes it’s only the beginning of a successful long-term mutually beneficial partnership.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with the Liberty Hockey One League, especially as they expand their reach into the international market. At ALFA Hockey, we believe in promoting the game globally, and this partnership allows us to support hockey in Australia while showcasing the quality of Indian-made hockey equipment. We look forward to a successful collaboration and hope this is just the beginning.”
Fans are enjoying even more fast-paced elite hockey this year, with the addition of some talented international signings, as well as returning Olympian Hockeyroos and Kookaburras. The League also showcases Australian hockey’s next-generation talent, as a key component of Hockey Australia’s pathway, which starts and connects to Hookin2Hockey – Australian hockey’s national junior program for 5–12-year-olds.
Season four kicked off on 11 October with the Brisbane Blaze igniting their triple-title defence, while the challengers race to make the all-new Road to Hobart Finals Series and end Queensland’s run. The Liberty Hockey League competition features seven men’s and women’s teams from across the country including the Brisbane Blaze, Adelaide Fire, NSW Pride, Hockey Club Melbourne, Canberra Chill, Perth Thundersticks and Tasmanian Tigers.
The Liberty Hockey One League is broadcast live and free on 7Plus, with 2024 season tickets and memberships available now here.
