🔥 JETHRO EUSTICE 🔥
Originating from South Africa, highly experienced defender Jethro Eustice, comes to the Adelaide Fire with 171 international caps and 21 international goals for the South African Men’s National Team. Jethro adds an additional 46 international caps and 38 international goals, as well as the Captaincy, for the South African Men’s International Indoor Hockey Team. Jethro’s international career has also included representing South Africa at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and 2018 Games in the Gold Coast, and the Tokyo Olympics. His accolades include gold medals at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013, 2017 and 2022 plus gold medals at the Indoor Africa Cup in 2017 and 2021. His extensive international experience and coaching accreditations will add great depth and a cool head to the Fire’s defence this season.

Anna Crowley is a talented defender blessed with great vision and leadership abilities. Coming to Adelaide from New Zealand, Anna has 17 international caps for the New Zealand Black Sticks. Anna made her international debut in 2022 in the Trans-Tasman Series against Australia. This followed with selection into World Cup and Commonwealth Games teams. We look forward to Anna joining the Adelaide Fire women’s team and bringing another level of experience to our defence.

The Adelaide Fire and @hockeysaofficial wish to advise the hockey community that Roel van Maastrigt has been appointed as the new Men’s Hockey Head Coach at the NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS).
In addition, Roel will continue his role as Head Coach of the Adelaide Fire Men’s team throughout the Hockey One Season, splitting his time between Adelaide and Sydney over the coming months.
“Roel has been a wonderful addition to the Hockey SA organisation and community since his arrival. He’ll leave a legacy in our pathways system that will see our young athletes thrive for years to come. 🔥 KIERAN GOVERS 🔥
A familiar face around the international hockey circuit. Originating from New South Wales, Kieran has played at international level since 2010 with 126 matches and scoring 60 goals for the Kookaburras including appearances in the bronze medal winning team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and the gold medal win at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Kieran also saw success with the Kookaburras claiming gold medals at the World Cup in 2010 and 2014. A fierce and athletic competitor with extensive hockey knowledge, Kieran will make his presence known and dominate through the Adelaide Fire midfield.
🔥 PETER SCOTT 🔥
Peter Scott arrives at the Adelaide Fire from England. Peter is a versatile midfielder and forward who played in the Men`s England Hockey League Premier Division for Wimbledon. He has played for the England National team, making his debut against Germany in 2017. Peter is already in Australia and making a significant impact in the Melbourne Premier League for MCC Hockey Club. We look forward to Peter joining the Men’s team in Adelaide over the coming weeks.

🔥 BROOKE PERIS 🔥
Current Hockeyroos midfielder, Brooke Peris, joins the Adelaide Fire Women’s team in 2023. Cousin to Olympic Champion, Nova Peris, Brooke has paved a successful hockey career of her own. Originating from the Nightcliff Tigers Hockey Club in Darwin, Brooke has played 194 games for the Hockeyroos including appearances in their 2016 & 2020 Olympics, and the 2018 silver medal campaign at the Commonwealth Games. After missing the 2022 World Cup and Commonwealth Games due to injury, Brooke is back stronger than ever and will make a significant impact in the Fire midfield this season.
🔥 FRASER HEIGH 🔥
Coming from Scotland’s Men’s Hockey Premier League, Fraser Heigh joins the Adelaide Fire Men this season. Fraser recently represented Great Britain in the 2022 Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia. Fraser is currently playing in the WA Premier League for Whitford Hockey Club, scoring 22 goals in 15 games so far. He was also the WA Premier League Player of the Month in April. A former 100m runner, the 6ft 1” striker will bring some serious force and speed to the Adelaide Fire Men’s forward line.
We can’t wait to see Brooke and Fraser in action for the Adelaide Fire this season.

The Adelaide Fire Women’s team invite players to register their interest in attending their identification / selection training sessions on Wednesday 12th and 19th July, at MATE Stadium.
🔥 Interested athletes are asked to register their interest via the 🔗 in our bio.
Women’s Head Coach, Hugh Purvis, will be in contact with each athlete individually, prior to the training sessions.
In preparation for the 2023 Hockey One season, the Adelaide Fire have invited identified players to take part in the Men’s ID Camp, on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July, at MATE Stadium in Adelaide.
The camp will assess athletes to create a training group who will work together, leading up to the final Adelaide Fire Men’s Squad selection.
🔥 Any potential Men’s players not already invited, but wish to be considered for the ID Camp, are asked to send their expressions of interest to coach@hockeysa.com.au. Please note, only successful applicants will be contacted.
