Here are all the ways to stay across this weekend’s blockbuster double round of the Sultana Bran Hockey One League.
With no less than six double-headers across Friday and Sunday, there’s plenty of hockey action to fill your weekend.
On Friday night, Brisbane Blaze host their first home game of the season when the Tassie Tigers come to town. The Blaze men are flying high with a perfect 3-0 record, while the women tasted victory for the first time last weekend. Both Tassie teams will be looking to bounce back after defeats last week in Sydney.
Adelaide Fire play host to the Perth Thundersticks in what is a crucial match, particularly on the men’s side of the double-header. Neither team has won a match yet, and whichever team goes 0-4 after the weekend will find it very difficult to reach the finals.
Hockey Club Melbourne return from the bye to host the Canberra Chill, the women looking to remain undefeated and jump to the top of the table. For the men it will be a decisive mid-table clash that will see the winner remain with the chasing pack behind the Pride and Blaze.
An action packed weekend, and that’s only half of the matches!
Canberra Chill return home on Sunday to host Tassie Tigers, NSW Pride welcome Hockey Club Melbourne after sitting Friday night out, and Brisbane continue their weekend of home hockey against Perth Thundersticks. Adelaide Fire have the bye on Sunday.
