Here are all the ways to stay across Round 3 of the Sultana Bran Hockey One League so you don’t miss any of the action.
This week’s three double headers come to you from Sydney, Perth, and for the first time this season – Adelaide.
NSW Pride get things going when they host the Tassie Tigers in Sydney on Saturday. Last week the Pride Men piled on seven goals against Canberra Chill, while the Pride Women narrowly lost 2-1 and are without a victory after two rounds.
The Tassie Tigers Men got their season off to a flying start in Hobart with a 5-1 win over Adelaide Fire, as the women found their debut a bit tougher, defeated 4-0. One of the women’s teams will walk away from this match with their first win of the season.
Over in the west, the Perth Thundersticks will look to make the most of their bye last week when they take on Canberra Chill. The visitors are experiencing mixed fortunes, with the women undefeated and the men at the bottom of the table and winless, though it is still early days.
The round wraps up on Sunday when Adelaide Fire play their first match in front of their home crowd at the State Hockey Centre against Brisbane Blaze. The Fire Women are flying high with two wins and sitting atop the ladder, while the Blaze Women are yet to open their account. The roles are reversed for the men, with Brisbane undefeated and Adelaide still to taste success so far this season.
