Australia’s premier domestic hockey competition, the Hockey One League, has today launched Hockey One Global Pass, a new global streaming platform, enabling international fans from all corners of the world to watch matches live and on demand for the first time.
The new platform follows a record-breaking 2024 season, which attracted some of the best international players on the planet, and is the next major strategic step in the League’s ambition to build a global fan base and increase international commercial opportunities.
From today, international fans can watch 2024 season replays of the Hockey One League for free with live access to Season 5 games available via subscription when the season gets underway in October. Australian audiences can continue to watch the Hockey One League live, free and on demand on 7plus.
Developed in partnership with Staylive, the new over-the-top (OTT) streaming service is fully controlled by the League and allows fans outside of Australia to access all of the Hockey One League action, from live matches to replays and highlights, scores, fixtures, and ladders, in one dedicated mobile and web application.
“Hockey One Global Pass is a major step forward in our ambition to make Hockey One a globally recognised sports entertainment product,” said Hockey One League Executive Manager Sash Herceg.
“By investing in our own streaming infrastructure, we’re not only improving accessibility for fans, but we’re also creating new commercial and marketing assets and opportunities for the League and its partners, while increasing data, subscriptions and direct engagement.
“We’re building a model that will allow us to reach all corners of the world while still maintaining the ability to partner with international broadcast companies in specific markets.”
Australian audiences will continue to enjoy live and FREE access to all Hockey One League matches on 7plus, through the League’s ongoing partnership with the Seven Network.
Hockey One Global Pass is available now on mobile and desktop and on Google Play and the App Store. 2025 season subscriptions will be available from Friday 3 October 2025.
