Venue Entry – Alternate arrangements in place
With another major event taking place at the State Netball Hockey Centre this Friday night, please note that an alternative entry will be in place for Hockey One spectators.
You will not be able to enter the venue through either of Enty A or Entry B, which are the entries that you would typically use when you come to the venue.
The entry that will be in use is around the back of the venue, near the tram stop and will see patrons entering the Zoo side of the venue. Please see the map below.
Patrons with Accessibility Requirements
Please note that any patrons with accessibility requirements that have purchase grandstand seating will be permitted to go to Entry B (near the roundabout at the front of the venue). Please get dropped off at the large roundabout, proceed inside Entry B and see the Customer Service Staff at the desk on the right to get your tickets scanned.
Note that you will not be able to purchase tickets at Entry B, so please ensure you have pre-purchased.
Getting to the Venue
With other events at the venue, we expect that the car park will be full at State Hockey Centre.
Wherever possible we encourage you to get public transport, with the 58 tram stopping at the back of the venue or you can jump off the Upfield line train at Royal Park station and take a short walk around the zoo to get to the State Hockey Centre. Both of these stops are very close to the entrance we will be using this Friday night.
Car Parking
As highlighted above, with other events at the venue on Friday night the SNHC car park is expected to be full. We strongly recommend utilising parking at Melbourne Zoo (off Elliott Avenue). The Zoo closes at 5.00pm and parking is free from that time onwards.
It is a short walk from all the Zoo parking, alongside the tram tracks, to get to the Hockey One entrance. The map below outlines alternate parking options.
