How to get around Sultana Bran Hockey One – Round 2

It’s Round 2 of the Sultana Bran Hockey One League! Here are all the ways to stay across it so you don’t miss any of the action.

This week’s double-header matches hit Canberra, Hobart and Melbourne – the latter two hosting their first home matches of the season.

The action begins on Saturday, with Canberra Chill hosting NSW Pride in what will be a fierce rivalry between the neighbours. In the women’s match, Canberra will look to make it two from two while the Pride will aim to bounce back from a 2-1 loss at home. On the men’s side, the Chill are out to make up for their 4-1 loss to the Blaze while NSW Pride Men will be pushing for a second consecutive victory.

The competition then heads to the Apple Isle for the first time where the Tassie Tigers play host to the Adelaide Fire. Tassie had the bye in Round 1, while the Fire women kicked the league off with an impressive away win over the Pride. The men are keen to bounce back after a 2-1 loss in their opener.

On Sunday all eyes are on Victoria as Hockey Club Melbourne host the Brisbane Blaze. HC Melbourne was the only club to record a double victory across the men’s and women’s competitions, with the women scoring a last-gasp winner and the men prevailing in a 9-goal score-fest. Brisbane’s men powered away late against Canberra while the women lost in a shootout after leading the match 2-0 in the third quarter.
